Minnesota VINE, accessed through VINELink, covers Minnesota county jails and detention facilities. That makes it the correct service for a person booked into Pine County Jail. Minnesota's state-prison system does not feed into VINE. Someone at MCF-Willow River or another Minnesota DOC facility belongs in Minnesota Haven for notifications and the DOC public viewer for public status. A person at FCI Sandstone belongs in the federal BOP system.

The split prevents false negatives. A missing Willow River participant in VINELink does not prove release because that state facility is outside Minnesota VINE coverage. Likewise, BOP custody does not appear in either Minnesota VINE or Haven. Identify the last custodian first, then select the matching system.

Pine County VINE Release Events
Minnesota identifies several VINE events: general release, court-order release, bond release, escape, record purge, unsupervised custody such as work release or electronic monitoring, transfer, and death. A purge concerns the notification record rather than proving why custody ended.

Pine County VINE Caller Details
Minnesota's fact sheet lists 877-664-8463 as the caller ID for VINE calls. It also warns that calling that displayed number does not reach an answered help line. Lost-PIN support and registration help instead go through the Customer First Center at 866-277-7477. Keeping those numbers distinct can prevent a missed alert from turning into a failed callback attempt.
Minn. Stat. ยง611A.06 supplies a state victim-notification legal anchor, while Minnesota VINE custody checks and anonymous registration are available beyond one narrow group. Registration does not require the registrant's name or a VINELink account. The service is free and operates continuously, but the lack of a guaranteed Pine County transmission time still requires direct agency confirmation for urgent facts.
The Minnesota Predatory Offender Registry is not an alternative release-alert system. Its public portal covers a limited class of noncompliant registrants, not every registered person and not all people released from Pine County custody. A person absent from that registry may still be in custody, released, compliant with registration, or outside its legal coverage. Pine County VINELink Limits
